Planning

Wilsden Parish Council considers most planning applications at its normal monthly meetings, although for major planning applications a special meeting may be arranged. Details of these meetings are given in the MINUTES & AGENDAS section.

The Parish Council as a statutory consultee is consulted by Bradford Council about planning applications within the civil parish of Wilsden. The decision about planning applications is made by Bradford Council. The Parish Council can make comments on planning applications as long as they are ‘material considerations’.

Members of the public are welcome to attend parish council meetings and raise matters/issues about planning applications. The Parish Council will then take these comments into account when making its recommendation to Bradford Council.

Public Access

Public Access is a system that enables the public to view planning documents and plans via a website. It also enables the public to electronically submit their comments on an application to Bradford Council.

To use Public Access, log on to the Bradford Council website: https://planning.bradford.gov.uk/online-applications/

From this page you will be able to select a variety of searches using the menu on the left hand side of the web page. You will be able to search for a particular property from its address, or by the planning application number if known. You will also be able view a weekly list of planning applications.

When you have found the application you are looking for, select ‘click to view’ to view the planning application and its associated documents.
