NOTICE OF VACANCY IN OFFICE OF COUNCILLOR: WILSDEN PARISH COUNCIL (WILSDEN WARD)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN

that due to the resignation of Cllr Dufton, a vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for the Parish Council.

If by 27 April, 2021 (14 days excluding Dies Non, after the date of this notice) a request for an election to fill the said vacancy is made in writing to the Proper Officer at the address below by TEN electors for the said Parish Ward, an election will be held to fill the said vacancy, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option.  

If an election is called, it will take place not later than 1 July, 2021.

N.B. Since the Government has instructed a national lockdown, in these circumstances, it would be acceptable for requests for an election to be made by electronic means, i.e. electors could send an email, which must include an attached photograph or scanned image of a wet ink signed request or with an electronic signature to electoralservices@bradford.gov.uk. Written requests can also be sent by post to Electoral Services, City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council, 3rd Floor, City Hall, Bradford, BD1 1HY.

Any requests for an election must be received no later than 27th April 2021 and should clearly state the vacancy the request relates to and include the name, address and signature of the elector(s), as outlined above. For the vacancy to be filled by election, a request is required from at least 10 electors from the parish ward by the deadline.
