Wilsden Parish Council, along with the residents of Wilsden, is deeply shocked about the incident that occurred on Friday afternoon in Birchlands Avenue.

Councillors' thoughts and best wishes are with Mr Croud and his family.

The Parish Council would like to assure residents that it is not complacent in these matters and reports incidents to the police with a sadly all too frequent regularity. Residents' complaints are also logged directly with the local PCSO.

In the past year representatives from the Neighbourhood Policing team and the Police and Crime Commissioner for West Yorkshire have attended parish council meetings to hear our concerns. These meetings are open to the public and the Parish Council will be asking the police to send a senior representative to the next parish council meeting, to be held on Monday 4th December at 7 pm in the Village Hall. You are all cordially invited.

The formal consultation process for the draft Wilsden Neighbourhood Plan was completed on July 26th 2017 and the Parish Council received more than 30 submissions from residents developers and statutory consultees. The Work Group has reviewed all the responses received in deciding what changes may be required in the draft Plan before moving to the next stage of developing the Plan. The Parish Council has agreed to publish the details of the consultation comments along with the response of the Work Group and these can be downloaded here.
